All,

My 2001 GT lumbar pump is not working. I am not the best electrician but I know I have 12 vdc at the lumbar pump motor, the book calls for 10vdc. So I ordered and installed the new pump, guess what it didnt work. I hooked the old pump up to the battery, it works.

So I shot the wires all checked good, I check the switch, its good. I hooked the pump up to the wires feeding the seat, the doesn’t work.

The fuse is good, not sure where to go. It seems like when you put a load across that circuit the voltage is not there... Any help would be appreciated...:shrug:

You've done a pretty good job of troubleshooting the problem so far.
With the switch on, the Black/White wire to the pump should measure battery voltage (~12V-14V), and the Black wire should measure 0V.

If the Black wire measures 2V or higher, there is a bad connection in the wire to Ground (connector; ground lug; or frayed wire), as suggested by Rusty67. If the Black/White wire measures less than battery voltage, there is a fault somewhere in the positive wiring (switch; connector; or frayed wire).

These measurements have to be made with the pump motor connected.
