Three questions divided into one post:

1. only my right power mirror works, the left dosent do squat. what can i check.

2.my power door locks have a bad attitude, they both work sometimes, but sometimes, when the car is off they only work for a short amount of time after the car is off (ignition, not motor) so everything pretty much works when motor is on, and same with ignition, but not after its off. same thing with my trunk release though...does all the power just shut off to the car until you open a door and the light comes on ive heard its a loose pin or something in my door, how do i get the door pannel off? also what about the trunk release?

3. before getting into engine mods, i want to know what will improve gas mileage, and what will make it be worse. i know i wont get 30 mpg or something, im just trying to see what mods take away on them. what do these parts do? C.A.I., headers, midpipe, catback, pullies,?

1. switch could be bad, or check to see that your mirror is gettin power (plugged in all the way)

2. the trunk release only works when the key is on accesories or all the way on

3. Exhaust should net you a small gain in MPG's, dont waste your money on a CAI, just get a regular 'ol K&N filter, or you could make a "home-made" CAI for pretty dam cheap (<20 dollars)

to get door panel off (not necessary to check mirror, thats just one screw)

-remove bolts 'inside' armrests (2), remove screw on power lock/window panel, pull that whole thing threw the hole in the armrest, remove screw by inner door handle, i believe there may be a couple more screws on the armrest (parralel to the ground)
then just carefully pop the panel screws out

I'm guessing you have a panel (flat) filter?!?!
It'll just stay in there by itself, to remove the silencer, jsut take off the two screws that hold the box to the body, then drop it down and get it off the ground

Follow this link to fix your door lock actuator problems http://bellsouthpwp.net/l/r/lrichker/Mustang_tech/door_actuator_fix/1_of_8_door_actuator.htm

Stuck with door lock actuators that don't work and don't want to pay the $50+ for a new one? Tried the junkyard ones and found that they last six months and freeze up?

A new actuator for less than $4. Fix one side for $17, do both sides for only $23. I don't sell parts, I don’t make any money off of the upgrade, I just tell you how to do it cheaply and easily.
