I have a stock Mustang Gt 02, auto rite now, and i would like to know what would be the best mods to do, w/ $1500 to spend, I would like to have mostly powermods, i was thinkin 4.10's gears, n shift kit but i heard i would need a torque converter w/ that and i dunno where to get that, i was also thinkin a catback system, n a pipe prochamber? x-pipe?, cold air intake? i dont really know thats why i am askin, keep in mind i have a spending limit of $1500 and an auto... thx in advance

I spent about $800 on a stainless catback. About $50 for a K&N. After that, went to LaRoccas and had em put on a catted X pipe, Steeda underpulleys, 3.73 gears and reflashed the chip with about 2 dozen dyno runs for about what you have in the budget. Hope this helps.

get a full exhaust and 4.10s.

you don't need a torque convertor, but it would be nice to have.

k, what do u mean full exhaust? n what does a torque convertor really do?, k thx guys

i would go 3.73's, nitrous, drag radials & an off-road mid pipe.

A full exaust would be Headers, X-pipe or H, and catback which is your mufflers

Get 4.10s, Longtube headers, O/R X-pipe, your Catback of choice.....and a converter........

If I had it to do over again I would just save and get blown, your half way there, but that's just me

I second that. Why nickel and dime yourself to death when you can just get a huge power increase all at once.

I third that, you said you wanted a powermod, well the best way to get power is by putting a supercharger or nitrous. Supercharger(3k-5k), Nitrous($500-$1200)

Longtubes are going to be pretty expensive to install, unless you know how to do them yourself. Shorties are much easier to install and cheaper. 4.10's are a must, that'll be next for me and some kind of computer upgrade and or pullies. But I do agree with what everyone else is saying, if you already have $1500, save another few grand and get blown. Procharger and intercooler is actual retail of $4500 I think, plus to get installed and tuned properly, you're looking at a few more hundred.

but i still want to keep ot n/a, so i dont want to SC it or NOS it, but thx for all the answers guys , should i get a shift kit since i have an automatic?
