Power Seat Adjustment..

I noticed recently that my driver side power seat adjustments have stopped working. I push the little joystick to slide the seat forward and the little motor whirrs and whirrs but I don't move. Same with trying to move backwards. I go up and down with no problem, though. What could this be? Blown fuse or something?

Probably the gear on the motor is chewed up or has somehow come off. Was it giving you trouble before or did it just start doing this (not moving, that is)?

It worked before but not well.. it kind of creeped forward and back. Now it just stopped moving altogether.

take a look see that something didnt get caught up under the seat, the mustang power seats are pretty good ...anything falling down even napkins can get jammed in the tracks....its an easy seat to remove and work on....if its making noise it may have just came off the track or have something jammed...smell burnt?

my seat is the exact opposite. moves forward and back with no problem but can't get the damn thing to go up

check the fuse.... I had constant problems with the power seat fuse in my 97...
