Ok so I found that my power steering cooler is whats causeing the bad leak in the system. And instead of paying 50$ for a universal cooler and then having to mount it. Could I just bypass the cooler completely? How hot will the power steering run without it?

If there isn't a nearby junkyard, make a trip to the appliance repair place near you. Some of the air conditioners used a 3/8" copper tube covered with aluminum spines as part of the condenser assembly. You might be able to pick up a piece of that for next to nothing. Some brass fiitings to match everything up and mount it in the stock postion and you are done.

Nice tip from Jrichker.

You can also get some hard line from the better parts-stores. It comes in various lengths and has NPT fittings on it (which would mate to barbed fittings to connect a hose to). I've used this stuff in the past and it worked well. You do need a tubing bender - it's nice stout line.

Good luck.
