The front seal on my power steering pump is leaking, How do i go about replacing it? Also, the cap on the pump says only fill with automatic tranny fluid, I have been putting in regular power steering fluid, what should I be using? Thanks alot guys

I have never replaced the seal, I just bought a rebuilt pump, much quicker, and wasnt real expensive. ATF and power steering fluid are one in the same.

If its like the 68, all you have to do is undo the nut at the back and it pretty much pulls apart.

The life of the seals will depend on which fluid you use. If it says to use ATF, then use ATF. Just dont mix the two.
