Power steering pump pulley help!!!!!

I'm in the process of putting the engine back together and now i'm trying to put the p/s pulley on the pump and it will go almost all the way down the shaft but than it gets to the point where it won't go down anymore with the pulley installer kit. Its about a 1/4 of an inch from where it needs to be. Its a March aluminum pulley that we are putting on. Anyone else have this problem or now how to solve it. I can't figure it out. Please give me some advice here fellas!

Well i just went and looked and now i can't see how in the hell you are supposed to get this pulley off. There is nothing for the puller to attach to. This is the worst design i've ever seen.

C'mon, someone has to have this pulley on there car. Its part number 630, a power steering pump pulley for a '79-'93 5.0.
