Does anyone know where I can get a rebuilt power steering pump for 66. I tried most mustang parts catalogs but they all want my pump first. Is that normal?
Are you concerned with originality? If so,there were about 3 different pumps in 66 so check the NPD cat. or site. If you couldn't care less, go to Autzone and get one for half the price; it will most likely have a different appearance but will work.
Also if you are concerned with originality be sure and ask the Mustang parts store if it is an Eaton or Thompson style with larger filler tube (straight=non ac and bent for ac). Mustang's Plus will try and sell you a non-original standard replacement for $120.00 which is the same one you can pick up a Kragen, Autozone, etc.
EBay does list original (Eaton and Thompson style) replacement rebulit pumps from time to time.
