Power steering question

I have a 70 mach I, 351C, 4 speed. The p.s is not working at all and spitting the fluid out of the filler tube. Everything is new except for the pump (p.s. control valve and hoses) It worked one way for awhile but now not at all and it makes a mess.

I hate to go out a buy another pump without knowing for sure. The P.S control valve is new but set for 3 years before the car was ever driven.

Didn't get any help, that's ok, it ended up being a defective (New) power steering control valve in case anyone else restoring a mustang with the p.s. control valve, the new ones can be bad.

I was going to say check the control valve. I had the "one-way" problem and it turned out to be a stuck spool in the valve due to burrs on the spool. I cleaned up the spool with fine sandpaper and it has worked properly ever since.
