I changed my power steering rack a while ago to A-1 CARDONE Part # 22207.

Everything works fine when on turns or just turning the wheel slightly to the left most of the time it squeaks. i have power steering fluid and lucas power steering fluid in my PS pump

any ideas?

When my put the new one on i noticed after 2 days the right side tie rod dust boot was all twisted and shrivled. could this be causing the problem?

if so anyone know a part # of a brand. im searching and can't find any.

A squeak or a pump groan? If it's a rack squeak, try lubing up the actuator rods and see if it goes away at least, temporarily.

If it's the other, there's a nice writeup in the Useful Technical Thread Index at the top of this forum on the subject.

Definetly a little squeak not a pump groan?

For future reference you should use Type F Fluid in your Power Steering System!
