So my original unit from 68 finally failed. Figured it was about time. There's a noticeable drip-leak from the inboard side of the control valve where it screws into the steering rod. I'm trying to figure out what rebuild kit exactly i need. They've got em for just the valve in the middle (which is usually all that wears out) and they've got a complete kit that has all the boots, hoses and stuff as well in addition to other seals and so forth (which would be nice) my question is, the price difference of $60. is it worth it? or did just one of the seals on the inside valve go fooey?

This site may help you, lots of good info. and exploded diagrams, etc. He does awesome work for a fair price but takes months and months to complete as he's a one man old school shop that is backed up with work.

I would replace everything internal in the valve, including the sleeve, boots, and tube seats. The hoses are up to you.
