I was wondering if anyone has used the auto loc power window universal kit here... Is it worth it or should I just save up and go with the custom one that they sell for mustangs (or a model like it)? If they have used it, how hard is the install (for both kits) and are there cheaper kits out there that are decent quality?

Looking at what Summit offers, I would be hard pressed to buy the universal kit over the direct bolt in ones from Electric-Life. For the extra $40 you spend, you get something that fits without modification and will work without issue.

Here is the kit I used, Electric Life

Here, I think is the kit you are talking about, AutoLoc

Look at the price difference???? Why?

I have the Electric-Life kit in two of my Mustangs. The kit is very straight forward and easy to install. They use existing holes to mount all parts. It basically comes down to removing the regulators and replacing them with the new assemblies. No guessing, measuring or cussing required.

I do wish they had a little more power. Make sure all guides and rollers are clean and lubricated.

AI and Haneline sells the Electric Life kits as do mot of the Mustang suppliers. I would not recommend Auto Loc - cheap, but not always the best quality. You want to understand if the price includes the harness and switches, some don't and you have to buy them seperately.
