well im thinkin about getting a set of these, i just need to know if they are good heads or not, being that they are only 700 i decided they might be good for building a motor on a budget. anyone have any good or bad experiances with these?

I have a set with the upgraded spring option.. I run them with the stock cam and a ported/extrude honed gt40 intake. They definately woke the car up pretty well, I hang right with a bunch of h/c/i combos in the area, but my car is also stripped, no hvac system/radio/console/rear seats, etc.. No dyno or track #'s yet, I'm still fine tuning the combo.

I bought them used for $400.. I'm not sure I would have paid $800 for them new, for that price you can score a set of used (or new) aluminum heads, shave a bunch of weight off the front, and probably make more peak power.

I have a buddy with a set of power heads, B-cam, 3.73, tuned etc. was dynoed to have 281 hp at the wheels and 300 ft lbs of torque. his best to date is 12.9 @ 105. I was going to go that same route but I figured if I have 700 bucks why not save some more money and get some aluminum heads. so I went with some AFR 185's. good luck with ur decision.
