Some Stangnetters talked to me regarding the lack of passes/time at track ratio. Please let me know what happened in the latter stages of the evening after we had the talk. I will talk to Fiorito; he is concerned. When he is there, that kind of thing doesn't happen. Part of the problem last night was the Pro Street cars breaking (6 of them). But that delays everybody. The real issue was (and still is) unfair lane priorities.

In the short term, I recommend that you line up in the lanes for cars with slicks. Take advantage of what you know and the lax rules-enforcement. If you have DR's, you can probably get away with being there (I was running Drag radials last night). Or you can buy slicks from me!

I would like to buy a set of slicks from ya! PM me.

but on topic, Woodburn last night was very fair. I've yet to hit PIR, but I've been a woodburn guy for a while and I've never had this problem. I made 6 passes in 2 hours, and they were running jr dragsters and bikes too. I felt like everyone was given an equal shot, and there was a lot of "hustle" with the track officials. I've never heard of them having the same probs I've heard about PIR.

So I guess my suggestion, is to come on down to woodburn! Where I live, its an equal drive to PIR or woodburn, and I realize its more of a drive for some. But its a pro track, and there doesn't seem to be as many probs, it may be worth the drive. I've been told cars run faster out there, so that might throw off some baselines, but give it a shot!

That being said, I am going to go down to PIR tonight, most likely, I'll be able to formulate a better opinion about pir then.

This happens often. Pacific Raceway is near Auburn Wa, south of Seattle. PIR is in Portland.

The slicks are listed in the classified section of the NW under the heading "slicks for sale" all the info is there.

Myself and Gabe ( Nobody ) were there racing and we were VERY disapointed in what was going on For every 1 run that the street tire class did, the slick class got 3 We saw your car and remembered that you discussed it with the owner awhile back, so we came up and said high, and to figure out what B.S. was going on. If this is how they are going to treat the vast majority of people that race there, and if they keep it up, alot of people will go other places, I.E. Bremerton, and Portland. That was pathetic, I was there at 4pm and stayed till after 10pm and got 3 runs

I guess it doesnt matter for me now anyways, cuase I am finally upgrading to the next level Turbo kit, and plus Im redoing my Dif and axles, and putting 3.55 gears in the car, my car is doing the 1 wheeel burn out now Im actually suprised it survived this long

It seems that if Fiorito isn't on hand, the track manager reverts to his old habits. Just get into the "racing tires" lanes. Even when Fiorito was making sure the street-tire lanes got equal passes, it took 40 minutes to run them all through. That's a long time to be idling and it's a lot of clutch work to move forward for your pass. Just use the other two lands.
