Pre-Blower buildup

Hi by next year i plan on having a blower on my 2001 gt. Probably get it done in this winter/spring. I was wondering what things to get now that can be used to help supplement the blower. i.e. tb/maf/. things that would not be included in the blower pakage but i could put on now before winter. Things i can add without haveing to dyno tune.

currently: stock motor 58,000 miles with bbk cai,bbkheaders-shorties, bbk crossover, 3 inch catbaks, mangaflows and some kind of k&n 16 inchlong exhaust tips. hypertech powertuner for 93 octane. 3.73rear,subs and braces fr/bk. lowered.

How much do yall think i got rwhp as it is right now? Then how much with things yall tell me to add.

In the end i hope for a blower and possibly cams as the final tune. What blower will get me to or above 400+rwhp and have a complete kit for that? and then maybe a cam package get me over the top. what suggestions for cams i.e. company and grind. And a dynotuner place around Pittsburgh-Johnstown-DuBois area in PA. someone from here that would be good recommendation.
I will have 5-7k$ to do this , is that good?

I am shooting for 420+rwhp when all is said and done. cuz now n again i see one of them new camaros and then just heard a kid got one of them new charger srt8s, you know 465hp 175 mph top speed. (will a stang do 175+?)I wanna be able to hold my own and then some. thanks yall great appreciation.:nice:

Youve probably free'd up an honest 25hp with the parts you've added.

Depending of what blower kit you go with it may have a fuel pump or injectors, so it is best to wait for those along with a MAF (MAF will be different depending on what blower kit you go with)

Id keep saving for the blower and do it all then, it will cost you less since those parts will need to replaced at that time during the blower install. You might want to start looking into some gauges, fuel pressure and boost/vac, and I always like a oil gauge. What intake elbow and TB are you using? A good set of adjustable rear control arms (upper and lower) would be nice to get the pinion angle all in check, especially being a lowered car. What trans do you have, manual or auto?

A D1SC Procharger kit will get you in the area your looking with 12psi with a set of cams from what Ive seen in the past. Are you stuck on a blower or would you consider a turbo?

Im a little further down in PA (Hanover 17331) but if I can help you out, let me know..

I'm into my 99 gt at about that price range and am putting 473 with no cams and stock top end. my mods included 60lb injectors, 90mm maf, 03/04 cobra gas tank and dual pumps, p1sc procharger with upgraded impeller (similar to the d1sc), and 3 core intercooler, pushing 17psi. We peiced together the whole set up, but if I were you, I would listen to Rick and save up for the supercharger and find a kit that comes with the whole setup. procharger has a decent kit for somewhere i that price range and you shouldn't have any issue hitting that price range and power level. Now if you aren't stuck on a superchagrer, I'df look into the STS turbo setups. those are extrmely easy to install, and give you some amazing power and sound! just youtube it until you're convinced.
