I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this product for the 4.6 Mod GT not Cobra. I have the 5 speed manual, and wonder if the $400 expenditure is worth it when half of what this product does relates to the auto transmission... shift points etc.
I'm thinking I might be better off with a full cold air induction kit that includes a bigger throttle body.
I currently have the K&N FIPK which is just OK
Any info would be appreciated.

From what I've read, the Performance Tune for a GT advances the timing and leans out the air/fuel ratio to give the added power. It's not all about the auto trans. It also saves you a bunch on future mods. No need for a speedcal after a gear swap ($80). No need for MIL eliminators after installing an off-road midpipe ($50). No need for a mechanical timing adjuster ($120).

Then you have an OBDII code reader and clearer. And some cool data logging if you are interested in that. Plus, you're set up to purchase and install a custom tune from a professional tuner if your needs exceed the basic Predator tuning features.

It can be found on the 'net for $350. I'm happy with mine, as you can tell.

Check with a professional tuner. I don't think you really need a tune for the mod you mentioned.
