How does everyone like there predator that got one? I just got mine and put the tune in. Anyone mess with the adjustments yet? Anyone notice any gains? I mean it felt a little different but mainly on how it sounded and felt when i got on it.

Just ordered mine today. It says 'in stock', so hopefully I'll get it some time next week. I was really glad to see it does in fact work with the 2004 (was getting worried there for a while). I'm looking forward to the automatic trans adjustments more than anything. :bang:
It would have been nice if they could have made it set the traction lock off by default (I think I read the Hypertech does that), but that's a minor thing.

It's green. Sitting here at work with me. Mocking me. Daring me to go home early. I've got to remember how to reconnect the speedometer after I pull the SpeedCal now...

I thought it does disable the traction control ? I just was reading on a forum somewhere that it does disable it.. Hmm, that was pretty much my reason for buying one.

Here is what the box does:
The Mustang Predator allows the end user to adjust the following parameters:

Dual timing adjustment points (2000-4000 RPM / 4000-7000 RPM)
Timing table (+10% / -40%)
Dual fuel adjustment points (2000-4000 RPM / 4000-7000 RPM)
Fuel table (+40% / -15%)
Idle (+/- 20%)
On/Off switch for Traction Control
Raise Speed Limiter
Rev Limiter
Re-Calibrate Speedometer for Gear and Tire Size Changes
Shift Pressure
RPM Shift Points
Torque Modulation (for better shift feel)
Cooling Fan ON/OFF Temperatures
Rear Oxygen sensor disable (use for off-road vehicles only)
Disable EGR (use for off-road vehicles only)

So it DOES shut the TC off !!

yea stock is 10 but the diablo tune sets it to something and then from the tune you can advance it 10 more percent from what diablo says

I e-mailed Diablo a question about timing. In their reply, they were careful not to give away their "secret recipe," but they did mentioned that their performance tune advances timing anywhere from 2-6 degrees. I used the diagnostic component of the Predator ("Real Time Streaming") and my idle timing is set at 14 degrees. I wish that the Predator come with more detailed instructions because a lot of diagnostic information was provided, and I have no idea what it means.

They also noted that the air/fuel scale is leaned out by one point.

On another web site that I visit there is a guy on ther that has the Diablo. He had the car dynoed today and guess what his gain was......5HP. That's it....5HP. Does that sound right? Did you notice more of a gain than that?!

I want to get a tuner, because then i can pull the codes when my car throws one. I was thinking the predator, but do they even make one for the 98's? I read somewhere its 99- present. What should I get for my 98?? It's gotta be a tuner though, because I wanna pull codes.

Nice! I completely missed that bit about traction being off, when I looked over the specs... ooops. That's definitely a bonus then.

I opted to set the traction to off on the tune. It's most assuredly off. :D I was hoping it would just be set to off by default, and that I could turn it on with the button, but that's not the case. Oh well.

Took out my SpeedCal, and the tuner seems to have done a good job with the recalibration. I'm pleased.

that sounds about right. the stock program isn't bad for stock or near stock. unless you have some major mods, you aren't going to pick up a whole lot by a tune. Diablo's claim of 25rwhp is :bs:
