Gotta paint that new push button starter before you take it to get the top fixed?

I have also found that a little rub with a scotch brite pad helps the paint adhere too. Gives it some texture to grip to.

The problem with things "fixing" themselves is, they always end up kicking your ass later. Next time it decides not to start it will explode when you hit your starter button thing. It sucks, I know, but its murphys law.

I agree, it doesn't just go away, it may work fine for a bit, but then it will strike when you least expect it.
