The BAP is integral to the computer on 94-95's.

Sounds like maybe he was talking about a BAP sensor, but our cars don't have one, unless you swapped to a 93 computer

Maybe he said your car's attitude sensor was bad. A car with a bad attitude sensor will run like a crazed wildman.

While I have NOT looked for a BAP code in 5N three code nomenclature (it comes up semi-often on foxes because the sensor is subjected to underhood heat), the computer should generate a code if the sensor took a dump. If it's just out of calibation, chances are you would run lean...............

If you have a spare computer, I suppose you could swap it out. I'd want confirmation from 'the guy' about what sensor it was and why he suggested it, before doing any of that though.

Good luck bud.

JT is right, the BAP is built in to our computers.

Bud, you're not quite understanging us. You do have a barometric pressure sensor. However, it's built into the computer itself. So if the computer can no longer accurately read the current atmospheric pressure, a guy has to get a new computer rather than buy a 10 dollar sensor.

It's like with nice vs. crappy shoes. If you have really nice leather shoes and the sole wears out, you can have a shoedude replace the sole. But if the sole wears out on your cheap tennis shoes, you just toss them and buy a new pair. But just because you cannot replace the sole on cheap tennis shoes, that doesn't mean they don't have a sole.

Note to self. In the future, make sure the analogy is easier to understand than the underlying point being made.
