Sorry for another what's it worth thread, but I would like your guys input about what I should offer for this car.

It is a 1970 mach 1 with 42,000 original miles. 351W with and auto transmission. It has been sitting since 78 and all of the floors are solid. The person selling is the same guy I got my 65 fastback from.

He wants $6,500 for it. It does not run but all the parts are there. It is my brother in-laws father that is selling it so I don't really want to insult him by giving him a low ball offer.

I bought this one from the same guy in 2002. It was in worse shape but I did about 80% of the work myself. I want to be fair but I also want to make money on it if I have to sell it in the future.

i havent really researched any values, but I would probably offer 4500 to 5k. 6500 seems abit high even if complete given how it looks in the photos

Thanks for the kind words and all of the input guys. The owner of the car does not want to deal so I guess it will just have to sit there.

imo, having 42k miles showing on the odometer. Is nulled by the fact the car has sat for 32 years.

Yup, the car needs pretty much everything.

Not sure why people thinks mileage is relevant when the car needs everything.
