I am about to order a pro 5.0 to replace my tri ax. I cant decide if I should go with the kona hande or the regular pro 5.0 handel. Thanks in advance for you help/opinions.

About the best combo is the Pro 5.0 with the Tri Ax handle (which you already have)

i went with just the pro 5.0 handle and i like it alot. but like GOLDENPONY mentioned, alot of people like the tri-ax handle on the pro 5.0 shifter.

I just put the Tri-Ax handle on my Pro 5.0 yesterday...I resisted for as long as I could, but them I just had to do it - 5 min swap...too easy not to do it. And, ya know, I kinda like it. Up a little taller, over a little closer, and the handle, though it vibrates more than the steel 5.0 handle did, it seems to absorb more of the vibration so less is transferred into the fatknob handle I have. So in the end, it is actually quieter. Not that a little gear whine bothers me, but for some people, that's a concern.
I'd recommend just installing the Pro 5.0 right out of the box and see how you like it...then if you want, you can put the Tri-Ax handle on for a change.

I ordered the triax handle for mine and put it right on when i got the pro 5.0. I liked it.. then one day i decided.. "heck.. i'm gonna try the pro 5.0 handle" and liked it MORE than the triax handle.... the shift was shorter and it wasn't out of my reach by any means. I would have to say pro 5.0 handle is better for me.. My triax handle is sitting in my basement collecting dust.
