looking to get a shifter for the new cobra. I had a steeda in my GT and loved it but I noticed alot of people going with the 5.0 on the cobra's which is better and which is cheaper?

Two different types of transmisions,so its a tuff call. I had a pro 50 in my 03gt and now in my 03cobra and its a awsome shifter.Although I've never heard of a steeda breaking.I feel better knowing the pro 50 has a steel base ,that makes me feel a little better when i'm going threw the gears .

Might want to take a look at the new MGW shifter. I'm hearing nothing but good things about it and I'm considering yanking out my Pro 5.0 and replacing it with one.

Can not go wrong with either the pro 5.0 or Steeda, but if I was in the market I would be all over the new shifter from MGW. Still considering replacing my pro 5.0 as we speak.

Tri-ax. It spring into 3rd gear better than the Pro 5.0. Also more closer to you than the Pro 5.0.

Steeda and Pro 5.0 is like getting an apple or an .... apple.. they are so close to one another, you just pick a place and get the cheaper one. I went with pro 5.0 because it's steel instead of aluminum. I don't know much about the MGW other than it's quite as all get up, which is always a good thing, but i would read up on it before i went and bought one.

I don't know about the MGW, but having the Pro 5.0 and the triax, I like the Pro 5.0 better. My steeda handle did break on me, but even that aside the Pro 5.0 shifts smoother and just feels better. I would spend more for a 5.0 vs the triax

The only thing I have ever heard negetive about any of them is about the steda. My friend has it in his 03 Cobra and has the worst time getting it into 4th. It is so bad he just skips it now. I have driven it and boy...it is impossible. It has to be an adjustment that off.
I just wanted to offer another view for this discusion. Good luck with your choice!
