Problem with LED tail light Install (APC no manual)

Hey everyone,

I ordered a set of APC tailights a month or two ago. I had to take my car to the shop for a few other things and thought I might as well get them to install the lights since I've kept putting it off and running out of time. Unfortunately I didn't get any instructions with the lights. When they try to plug them in they only get the park light to work and none of the other lights work, both the shop and I are at a loss, I'm not really sure how to get them to work (I tried googling for the manual but can't find anything).

If anyone has any insight into how to get them to work, an install write-up or a set of instruction manuals it would help me out immensely.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

That APC LED Tail Lights install using the stock wiring harness and mounting locations. The only thing I can think of is that you got a light set that already has bad harness wiring. The APC LEDs for the S197 do not use circuit board mounting technology. In theory, if one bulb goes out, rest of the bulbs will function and you should be able to replace a single bulb.

Circuit Board LEDs are sort of like Christmas Tree lights that have a single strand circuit and if one bulb is removed or burns out, they all go out past that point in the circuit.

If you got them from a place you can return them, you may give that a shot. This does not sound like it is an installation issue.
