Hi guys, I bought an 05' GT about a week ago with 2500 miles on it. The second day I had it I noticed a knocking sound coming from the passenger side of the motor. It does it after you drive it for a while and when it starts it won't stop, but if you cut the car off and start it back up, the knock quits. It sounds like a valve train noise to me, but it's not a tick, it sounds like somthing hitting. Any ideas on what it could be? Car has good oil pressure and is full of oil. Thanks cg.

Dealer says that they don't think it is the valvetrain tsb, but they can't tell me what it is. They have driven it 70 miles and they can't get it to make the noise.

And since it's been titled to someone else, Lemon laws do not apply. I am at Ford's mercy pretty much. I told them I'm not trying to get a new car but I'm considering pursuing getting a new motor.

The old mustangs made a noise you describe because of the a/c compressor cycling and it makes the lines jump and hit against the firewall.
