Problems with Alt and fan setup

I just went to the pick a part this weekend and got a 3g alt and electric fan off of a 97 3.0 Taurus, Got the alt installed with 4 g wire and ground, started it up and the pulley got hot.. shut it down checked wires and restarted and no more hot on the pulley, checked voltage and its throwing 14.4 . I then installed the fan with a fan controller that I got from the local parts store, every time I start the car it will get up to temp the fan would turn on and the Alt would start to scream for a min or so then settle down .. Is the Alt from a 97 Taurus a 130 Amp? I am running the High speed on the fan.

Are you sure the alternator is good? Take it and have it tested.

I looked at the before start up and after start up volts with my fluke and it was showing 12 and 14 volts.. Cant drive it down to the parts store now, got to fix the Radiator AAAAAHHHHHHHH ... fix one thing have 3 things fail.... Soon the hole car will be new.....
