My 97 mustang cooling fan won't come on, looked at the 60 amp fuse its good, straight wired the fan and it works, any other issues I can check, it worked fine untill I went thru standing puddles when it rained the other day, was wondering also if the temperature sensor was bad and how do I locate it.

Welcome the Stangnet.

I'll move your thread over to the Tech section of the '95-'04 subforum.

You'll get more help there.

Regarding your ECT sensor question. IF the only thing wrong with your car were a bad ECT sensor THEN the fan would kick on when the sensor is disconnected. Further the cooling fan would run on low speed when the AC is turned on. Is either of these conditions true?

Has the fan been CONFIRMED to work on both speeds by direct wiring?

If the fan works, then the problem is likely in the CCRM or supporting electrical. With the fan connector disconnected, test for key on, AC on between the fan's R/O and black wire. Is there voltage? If not, more CCRM tests will be needed. Do you have a Volt-Ohm meter (VOM) and are you willing to use it?
