Im getting ready to probably purchase a procharger supercharger next month. im not a newbie, and have done my research and have used the "tech god" . Whats the lowest price that anyone has seen i saw 3400 in 5.0 mag i forget which company. Im not set exactly on procharger but looking for the cheapest blower route i thought bout a vortech tuner kit but the lack of an intercooler scares me. Any ideas?

There are many guys running either a vortech of novi 2000 cobra killer kits without a intercooler with a single problem and most are making around 380-400whp.

I would suggest them the kit is around 4K but its complete and they havent ever lost an engine. Its what I am getting when I get the cash together.

tuner kit is crap, you'll end up spending more money buying everything needed than if you just bought it all as a kit (mongoose kit). the tuner kit doesnt come with fuel pump, injectors, plugs, IAT, MAF, power pipe, chip, ect. Id explain why you dont need an inter/after cooler on stock internals/bottom end, but I'm getting carpel tunnel

Yes I asked him about that in an e-mail and he steered me away from procharger because of the seal issues. That was enough for me.

take a look at the My Garage link under my name. if your interested in this type of power and kit setup I could set you up with the guy I bought from. my whole blower setup was custom ordered and includes a couple big upgrades and I paid $3800 to my door. if you want a satin blower it would be cheaper and if you don't want the sheetmetal cooler it would be even cheaper. this way you could get your own fuel pump, injectors, and MAF to save you more $$. PM me if you need info.

I can't blame Tim for not dealing with
Procharger because I heard some bad reviews with the seal problem they
can't seem to fix and people say there customer service is horrible because
they never get there calls returned etc. The Vortech and Paxton mongoose kits are a great way to go though!Good luck

Hmm the more I read about s/cs on GTs, the more I dont like it.I am serously considering selling my GT engine on ebay (after 36K ofcourse) maybe get around 2K for it, then buying an 04 cobra engine and 04 cobra CPU, with new flywheel and clutch.Put it in ourselves, the take it to ford and have them hook up the CPU to the engine, probably also going with 04 cobra gauges. All these S/C GTs and they trap what stock cobras do, i mean thats VERY fast but they are not nearly as reliable as the cobra engines STOCK. More $$$ but a LOT less work, and thats very welcome on a DD.Wonder how long it would take ford to wire it?Will probably wait until the engine has 100K on it, or there abouts....before you say putting a S/C on is easier than an engine swap, I am talking about having the current engine forged and put back together, ALOT of time and money.

for the 9K plus you would spend for a Cobra crate motor you could build a very reliable 2v making well into the 550rwhp range. seems a bit easier than going through all the BS of a swap just to get into the 12's.
