wow.. I won't veer off topic I guess

What you should get is a tuner from american muscle with tunes preloaded from Bama and free future ones as well. All you do is plug it into the port under the dash and follow directions. You can go more advanced into it if you want but it sounds like you just want a plug and play.

SCT is the ones most people will use. Find a shop around you just in case you need them and ask if they use SCT or Diabosport and go with that. Both will do what you want.

ahall is right on spec with this one.

The SCT programmers from AM are awesome, plus you get free tunes for life from BAMA Tuning. In other words, you tell BAMA what your mods are and they write you a custom professional tune specifically for your car that you upload using the SCT tuner.

Plus, if you EVER want to get a dyno tune in the future, 99% of performance shops use SCT as well.

If you owned a business would you just give out FREE tunes to anyone who asked? You might want to do some more searching on tuners a bit, I wasn't too educated but when I had a question I searched for things to get some more info from people before me.

The problem with buying that 'cheap' tuner that you might be able to found around $200 give or take could be a)broke or b)married. The 'a' senerio doesn't happen much at all but I heard someone on a local forum who is having to send his back to SCT to be fixed, free of charge but he has to pay to ship it which is still going to be at least $20. Problem 'b' is a much bigger situation for someone who buys it used. When they program the tuner to your car it has specifics that are meant for ONLY your car. Just because you have the same mods as the last person that tuner will not work on your car if it is still married to the other. The person selling the car will have to return their car back to stock using the tuner and that is the only way for it to be unmarried, unless of course you want to mail it back to SCT (20 bucks remember, shipping) and then I would take a guess that it is at least 50 bucks to have it unmarried AND THEN you will need to pay someone to upload tunes on it and that could run up to $100 bucks as well.

Bottom line is suck it up and get yourself a new one from American Muscle and Bama. The tuner can even tell you what the check engine lights are all about which is very helpful.

Alrighty! Lol. I'll order a new one. You guys made it sound like I can go to bama when I put mods on and they'll make me a new tune? Can I just go under like a bama website and tell them my mods and make me a new one then just upload to my programer? Or how does all that work?
