So I picked up a mexican block 302 bored .040 over... Aiming for a street/strip build but strong enough to keep those pesty vette's and camaro's at bay. Here are my thoughts, please critique, looking for advice as this is my first ground up motor build.

Rotating Assembly: Eagle forged crank, H-Beams, Mahle Pistons
Heads: TFS 180
Intake: TFS Upper/Lower
Cam: TFS Stage 2
MAF: Granettelli 80mm
TB: BBK 80mm
37lb injectors

I think that is the bulk of it, I can get way specific down to oil pan and gasket sets, but don't want to bore anyone. Looking forward to comments as the parts purchasing starts soon!!

P.S. Anyone know a good machinist in the DFW area?

I personally like the new AFR 185 heads better than the tfs heads. They seem to have more flow but your combo looks good. Should run strong. Might want a 75mm tb instead of the 80 also. But that's just my opinion. Probably get around 350-375rwhp maybe more. Good luck on your build.
