Well I headed back to the track again thursday and things finally started coming together in a big way.

I haven't changed much from when I ran Fun Ford Weekend a few weeks ago. So the clutch still slipped a slight amount in 3rd.

I did swap the beat up stock rear suspension to mac style boxed control arms and I hooked up the 2step for a little harder launch.

60' 1.725
330 4.892
1/8 7.431
mph 97.44 (Rev limiter) Hit it right at finish line Clutch slipped twice

60' 1.669 (2 step @ 3K)
330 4.768
1/8 7.295
mph 97.83 (Rev limiter) hit it 50ft before lights.

60' 1.666 (2step @ 3800 with the 125 shot)
330 4.709
1/8 7.195
mph 99.20 (Rev limiter about 70 feet before lights)

It stumbled a little taking off on the last run and still picked up like mad.
The 7.19 run converts to a about 11.20 @ 122+ in the 1/4.

In addition to the all stock longblock I still need to address the stock steel driveshaft with the weight still on it. Along with the rear only turning one tire in the burnout box.
For anybody not familiar with the car yet here's the build info and story behind it. http://www.stinger-performance.com/bolton.html

Very interesting.

I currently have a 84 SVO that I am working on resto modding. Already installed a RR cam and 35# injectors with a LA2. Awaiting the time to port the E6 manifold that I have and awaiting money for a FMIC kit

ACSPONY: sorry the only video I have online is the one stiner posted a while back. I'll post my first 6 second pass though I promise.

If you're going to do a front mount as a kit check out stinger's. Thats my next step; switching to his front mount lets me switch back to a stock style radiator.

Are you gonna be at summerduck this thursday??? Let me know id like to come out....also why dont you just get a griffin 19x22 dual core radiator...like i did its 3" thick....also i would'nt touch the motor till you hit 10's(you should be close with a good clutch)...because it will be a new revolution for the 2.3T world.

thanks yeahloh95 My first driver at age 16 was my 84 svo. I managed to leave it pretty much stock and just learned how to drive it. Now it sits here part of the family and will hopefully never leave us.

Stangman: I will have to work late this thursday but Theres a bracket race saturday but I'll probably be sand bagging a little. I usually only go out in kill mode on a cool night.
Stinger and I have discussed changing anything else and we're pretty set on a 10 second pass. In fact he's pointed to left field with the bat and predicting it within 60 days.

I had the exact radiator you speak of but sold it recently to a guy who was in dire need of it. 2 days later I busted the first ranger radiator at St lious. go figure.
Try to make it out saturday if you can.
