When I got the four wheels, they were the darker (gun metal?) color. The one extra I picked up was the light silver (I forget what the color is called). Kinda liked the contrast of the gun metal on the white. Found the paint code for them and had it mixed up. Yeah, they could've screwed the mix up too I guess. The picture of them painted makes them look darker than they actually are (my fantastic photo skills). I know they don't suite everybody, and I'm OK with that, we all have our own tastes. That's one of the things that makes building our own cars great.They're not GT 350 but still... The [after] on the wheels is way better than the [before].
Looks closer to a gun-metal finish than the OEM graphite color.
The OEM wheels well... They look better hanging on the wall behind the car.This, coming from somebody that [likes] 10-holes. LoL Alot
I totally get that, kind of brings a person down at times. Thinking it only needs a couple of things and it turns into more and more the further dig into it. Totally worth it to save a couple more of the foxes.Nice save man! The car turned out fantastic!
I know the feeling of things like "at least the roof is still good". On my car we thought only the driver's side was FUBAR but it turned out the only original panels we will be using on my car is the back half of the roof (cut for T-Tops), the fuel filler door, passenger door, and passenger front fender. Everything else including the floors, A pillars like yours, entire front clip with cowl, both rear fenders, rockers, etc... all got replaced.

Then, looking closer, majority of the rust was suspension components, which I was already planning on replacing. Granted I did miss a few spots initially which made for more fun...and some surprises.It's got barnacles growing on it!

I like building the cars my self..... Even when acquiring a " nice " car I always want to look at everything on it ( take things apart) for my knowledge and knowing what I have.... Got the body done in one year (from tear-down to paint), then another year for wiring, fuel system, brakes, engine etc... Pretty happy with that (even though it was another year tinkering with it doing other things like the cluster and doing the resonators and such).
What windshield washer reservoir is that you're using?Getting towards the end now. Getting a return line fitting in the tank for the Sniper fuel injection.

Added new fuse/relay box on drivers front inner panel. Needed this for breaking systems down further and new power source for fuel injection and headlights, which are on relays inside the box.
Since the air cleaner came with the car, it HAD to be used. I love the way they look and hardly ever see one any more. That air cleaner was the reason for going Sniper injection. Some may remember my thread on all of the pains it to get it to run right. It's been absolutely perfect for the past couple of years....except for an injector that died, but I was able to drive it home yet. So, some credit for that.
