Today I received my Performer 5.0 and Ford Racing throttle body. Any tips you guys could give me for when I do the swap? I've read the instructions a dozen times and according to everything I've read I'm good to go. BUT, this is rarely the case, is there anything I should be aware of that might pose a problem for me that anyone has encountered? The only area that I can think of that might give me some trouble is the EGR stuff connecting to the intake elbow, is it easy to disconnect/reconnect? Any insight you guys could provide would be most appreciated.

dont drop anything into your motor lol
EGR can be hard to remove, get some PB blaster
get a torque wrench and torque everything to spec
might need new orings and injector caps for your fuel injectors

lube up the injector o-rings before trying to re-insert them. I didn't and cut an o-ring and just really struggled with it.

Re-tourque the lower intake and upper intakes a bazillion times.. they take a while to stop taking more tourque.

Take your time. should take 4-6 hours for a first timer...

Have a buddy around. two hands are great when trying to get teh vac lines on/off the upper as well as when handling the fuel rail.

If you have a toddler, be careful as some plastic screwdrivers are just the right size to fit into the radiator if the cap is off... Don't ask how I know that one...
