I picked a set of these up for $50 off of my local craigslist brand new. I know, I know everyone here says they are crap but for the price I wanted to give it a try. Anyways, there are two main lightsources on the front as you can see.

The bulb that came in slot 2 is marked "9006". However, the lightbulb that I pulled out of my stock headlights is marked "9007" Which is brighter? Should I put my old one into slot 2? Also, which is the main headlight, 1 or 2? When I turn on my lights, will they both come on? Which one serves as the high beam? Thank you for the help in advance!

I believe that the 9006 and 9007 at two completely different bulbs. Its not which is brighter. From what I remember they have different connectors on them to fit the harness. I would imagine that the 2 would be your highs, and 1 is your lows

wouldn't 1 be for both high/low and 2 for just low. Did they come with instructions?

What size bulb came out of 1 ???

No instructions at all. 1 has a H3 and 2 has a 9005. Im pretty sure 1 is the high beam now.

bulbs

I think the numbers on the bulbs are just for fitment. They are not used to describe brightness unless it is a Kelvin rating (K). But no the numbers you are mentioning are just for the connector/harness they will work with. The main light is your projector (1) and when you turn on your brights, projector turns off, and number 2 turns on. Number 2 is your brights and whether or no you wire in halo's or LED's is up to you. Pretty easy to install. I've done it a few times. The barch is the wiring of the halo's and or LED's to parking lights.

From what I remember the H3 should be your low beam bulb. If I was you, I'd get the brightest bulb possible, something like the sylvania silverstars. Those projectors kill the light output and makes almost dangerous to drive on unlight roads with regular bulbs. Good luck with them.

they should have come w/ a wiring harness - one end goes into the new bulbs (9006 for lows and 9005 for highs) and the other end plugs into your stock 9007 connection.

I've got these same lights right now and they SUCK!!!!!
Bulb one is the low/main and 2 is the high beam.

The main reason they suck so bad is that you can't adjust them properly. They have 3 mounting tabs, but the bottom one next to the fender is not adjustable, so they end up pointing down too far.

Not only that, but when you adjust the drivers side to point away from oncoming traffic like it should, it pulls the corner light out from the fender and it looks like *****!

As far as the bulbs, the 9006 is in mine. Definitely gonna get some silvanias soon or something. They make HID kits for them now that I'm gonna look into b/c I love the look of these.

Are the wire harnesses necessary if I get bulbs that match the stock wattage?

Headlight

I tried similar set projector head lights and was very disappointed expecting to see bit further than 50 ft ahead. No instructions with the install they look nice but offer no improvement over stock. Any recommendations? Anyone happy with their new head lights or are those Sylvania lamps worth the money and as good as they will get?
