why delete the P/S it will make it a PITA to turn unless you convert to a manual rack

trust me, the buchings on my rack and pinion wore out and I was coming home one day and they finally gave out. I almsot couldn't turn my car. I aint no little guy 6ft 1in and 235 lbs. It was a bitch. I finally got the new rack and pinion in and trust me. You want power steering. It isn't that much weight, and one nice luxury.

well for a coupe of reason's
1) the rack is leaking bad
2) intill i can fix it i cant be leaking on the track.
i am running 13.5 1/4 mile ( new motor only has 500 miles on it not even broke in yet)and i am putting my front skinny tires on this weekend and they are a lot easier to turn the full size tires.
3) i dont drive the car around mostly justs on the track
4) i will leave it on just want to short belt some how past it for now.
raced it in januray and eat up my friends 99 Z05 vet and another friends 06 GTO (400 HP ) car. well eat them up at the track. they would have caught me on the freeway.
