Pull the back window tint myself or let a pro do it?

I'm pulling my 10 year old tint off my car finally because it's purple and bubbled up on the back, and it's coming off anyway. I've already got the sides off and it looks pretty good, I just need to do the 1/4 windows, rear window, and I might have the sunroof done too. My question is that I have no experience with window tint other than pulling my sides off, which turned out pretty good, just time consuming. I'm concerned that I may take out my window defrosters, but I dunno if the extra $$ would be worth having a pro do it. I've read up on it, and I think I can do it, but I was wondering if any of you guys have any input. If I done it myself I was going to soak the window down w/ ammonia, put a bag over it, and let it sit in the sun to sweat the tint loose. But I dunno if I should attempt it or let someone else.

Yea you have to be careful when taking the tint off of the back window if you have defrost back there. If you are to do it yourself go with the defrost lines with a blade. I did it myself a while back and it came out fine. My father used to install tint back in the day. The sticky stuff should easily come off with a little laquer on a rag. It saves you money that is for sure. I don't know if you have priced it at a tint shop but see how much the price diffenence is. Some companies would rather do it themselves rather than have a customer make more of a job for them.
