Since your nose isn't calibrated in parts per million and is subject to weather, what you ate last, and your overall good heath, I wouldn't trust it to measure Air/Fuel ratio accurately. Million dollar noses are employed by wine makers, perfume manufactures and food industry. I have never heard of one used in the automotive industry.
if your getting a lean code on bank 2 you might also have an intake or fuel injector seal leak. spray it down with something flammable like brake parts cleaner and listen for the engine idle to change

I have always considered that sage advice coming from someone with firsthand experience. Therefore I avoid using highly flammable substances when looking for vacuum leaks. A squirt can of motor oil is a safer, but messier choice.
