Pulleys

Im thinking about getting some pulleys for my 1999 Mustang. here is the kind im thinking about getting http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/underdriveV6.htm, but anyways my question is for anyone that has put pulleys on there car. I was wondering how much it cost you to install them, just seeing if its better to do it yourself or pay. Just trying to see my options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I thought this was going to be hard one but turned out to be somewhat easy,
I already had the puller and just got the longer 14 mm bolt to install as pointed out in this attached link ... helped having an extra set of hands when installing the belt. With the right tools pretty much a breeze. Our local shop wanted $65.00 sorry not on this one $9 for a puller , $3 for a long 14mm bolt from Ace Hardware and 20 minutes = extra money for something else

Yeah, i paid 60 bucks for an hour of labor at the Ford dealer, it was just easier!

I had mine installed professionally as well only because i couldn't seem to break that damn bolt loose, believe i gave a quite the elbow grease but it wouldn't budge. $54 at my local shop.

pulleys are a good choice, especially once summer rolls around, you'll like them.

-p.s.- i almost forgot to tell ya, if you wanna save a little money on both the pulley and the belt go to www.rpmoutlet.com. they have GREAT customer service and fast shipping

it is supposed to free up more power by making the pulleys smaller and therefore not work the engine as hard by turning the acc. slower. they say like 15-20 HP

Glad to hear that I wasn't the only one who had a hard time gettin' that bolt off. I even broke a Craftsman socket to get it off! The sales guy was like, "you did what to break it?" Sounds like I at least saved myself some $$.
