Hello!
Sometime soon I plan on getting a new(er) Mustang, and I'm really between the 2010 GT and the 2011 V6 (I'd like the 2011 GT, but the aforementioned two are within my price range). I like the mpg and the HP of the 2011, but will the 2010 GT be substantially better at obtaining the iconic Mustang exhaust sound? (biggest difference is obviously 2 more cylinders, although the two are within ~10HP I believe). You all are the experts, what's the better deal? Thanks!

The GT will sound better, and has more aftermarket support. You can't really make a V6 sound like a V8. They both have similar horsepower, but the torque advantage of the GT is significant. Go test drive both and see which one you like better.

YES!! V-8's just sound better, a v6 will never sound like a V8.

Well then here's one more- what feature (or certain manufacturer) best peoduces the iconic Mustang sound - the beautiful, deep, almost Harley Davidson-like sound flutters? I know some people like the higher pitched exhaust notes (similar to the nice tones on some supercars or the like), but what/who makes the deep growl all the way through? (example: My Dad has an '08 8cyl Hemi truck with a cat-back that does provide the low-growl; Flowmaster is known for this in their American Thunder series, who is their counterpart for Mustang's?)

Coming from a V6-powered Charger, I can agree with this! I tried several exhausts on it, and it did sound "good", but it was no V8.

Now THIS is what I'm looking for (although I believe that the police in Virginia would have a concern with that...I still love it!!)
