Push Button Start

bascially my understanding is you still ahve to turn the key to the start position but instead of craking the car over with the key you push the button. So you need to both turn the key and push the button. Basically imo its a dumb mod unless you think it just looks neat.

You can either use the ignition switch or turn the key to on then use the button as per the post by big cat.

If you push the button while the car is already started nothing happens. At least the way I wired my button nothing happens. And yes I pushed the button to find out, seems you and I have the same types of friends.

You can probably get them many places, but you can get them from Late Model Restoration Supply.

And yes, it is a pointless mod, but and aesthetic mod is a "pointless" mod. I've had this exact start button discussion with my dad. I think it's cool, he thinks it's pointless. Do whatever you like. And I guarantee it'll impress people when they get in the car.

Some new cars don't requite a key to be inserted. You keep the key or a sensor in your pocket. The car recognizes it and allows you to open the door and start it without inserting anything.
Now that option would be cool.
