push button starter

Just finished installing a push button starter and it is one of the coolest projects that i have ever done. push the clutch in, turn the ignition and push the button and VROOOM....heres some pics

That cool. Most of my rednek friends do that cause there relay is broke or somthing and they do thet in all thier demo cars to.

... and unless you're going to post the "how-to" for redneck button install (j/k), this doesn't qualify as a technical thread.

Why install a button when you would still have to put the key in the ignition? Just have to turn the key another quarter turn.

I like the idea for an anti-theft device myself.

Aside from the fact that the button is red, and says ENGINE START

If someone cracks the ignition lock cylinder far enough to get to the run position, chances are they will be able to get it to the crank position. Or the guy can jump the S-terminal on the solenoid to get it to start.

I see it as a bling thing only, but they are kinda cool. I considered it on one of the Euro cars I have.

there is no other place to put it besides the ashtray....because i did not want to cut up dash...its something different
