i didnt notice a bad ride quality, it rides just the same to me. the only thing it might be worse on is if you hit a really big pot hole. i dont think its bad to not have them, the factory just puts them there to damp the springs a little.
how difficult is it to take them out. Dont you just take apart everything just as if you were swapping springs? I really want to take out my front isolators, but i know nothing about suspension and i was gonna take it to the shop to do it, but they'll just charge me the price of front spring installation right? and thats a lot of money just to take out little tiny isolators. I wanna try to do it myself...
could i do this at home with just a jack and some common tools? and does anyone know where i can get some good directions on how to do this?

its not that hard, i took them out in about 1 hour. here is what i did: 1)jack up one side and put a jack stand on the frame then remove wheel 2)now remove the brake caliper by removing the two 12mm bolts in back and also free up the brake line by letting it out of its clip 3)put your jack under the a-arm and jack it until the strut just starts to raise, to support the suspension 4)remove the 15mm bolt that holds the swaybar endlink(the thing with the green bushings) 5) remove the strut bolt with a 13/16 inch open end wrench and i used a crowbar to wedge in the top slot of the bolt to keep the strut from spinning 6)after you remove the strut bolt you can lower the jack under the a-arm and the strut will come down with the a-arm and i just spun the spring around until i could get the isolator out 7)enjoy your lower ride
