like it says i'm puttin in the mm 6pt cage this weekend and while i'm there i plan on welding up some of the body seams. i'll prolly focus more on the trunk/shock tower area. does anyone have any suggestions as to any other problem areas that should be welded up as well.

just a mig, gonna tack it in on our alignment rack so we get it all level, then finish it up at my buddy's house. will most def have pics this weekend. i already have the interior out and have been preppin the past couple of nights.

if you wouldn't mind taking some pics of what you'll be doing, that'd be cool

are you tigging it in? or having somebody do it for ya

cool stuff, i'd like to get a 4pt one of these days

4pts are cool but unless you get at least a 6 pointer its kinda useless for track duty as the frist time the NHRA requires a cage is if you run below 11.99. As soon as you get below that then you need a 6 pointer.

Just some food for thought for ya if you're seriously considering a cage :nice:

well, the 4 point is for safety reasons... i'd just get a lightbar otherwise b/c they rock

besides, the stang is my DD so i don't want a harder time getting in with the 6 point rollbar, since they have the door braces correct

bimmertech: so, what are these unusual plans? or is it a secret

you can get a 6pt with a swing out bar for daily driving. just put it back in when you go to the track, the mm 6pt with swing out bars is nhra legal. no secrets here just working on an under car difuser since i'll be puttin a cell in the trunk(welding plate between trunk and inside) i took some measurements and have already been working on a carboard mold which i hope can turn into fiberglass, maybe mold it into the rear bumper.
