Putting in new CLUTCH...

Pull your seat out so u can have more room to work under the dash. Pretty easy to set up the quadrant. Just be sure to double check that it all lines up after and you dont need to use and washers to space it out properly.

I ran the same kit in a fox a few years ago. I threw the firewall adjust away after 1 week. The cable broke after 3 months. They warrantied it more me but it left me stranded. The quadrant seemed to be a good piece. Has a real quick release to it. Good luck.

Well the new cable is in, but the clutch wont disengage at all. So I am now thinking maybe the diaphragm has gone flat. We have pressure in it now, but cant get into gear once started.. Any ideas? maybe a new clutch that is good with my mods listed in sig, and daily driven.

How much slack is in the cable (it's easiest to check it where the cable attaches to the fork)? Dial out all the slack and you should be good.

Good luck.

Is the cable on the right hook on the quadrant? Is it an adjustable cable? Did you follow the same routing as before the install on the cable?

Yea it only hooks to one spot. Only adjustable at the fork. Followed same route and everything.

What happened was... I did a 4 - 2 down shift. went to shift into 3rd, then all of a sudden the clutch had no pressure. Like noton the floor, but it felt soft. Clutch wont grab and I cant get in gear. But when car is off it goes into gears, and I can still start the car.

I'm with you and your thoughts - if you can start it in gear ok and it wont go into gear otherwise (and what happened before the cable swap), something in the clutch or trans probably broke.

If you start it in gear and start letting the clutch out, how far is the clutch pedal off the floor when the idle starts to drop (as the clutch begins to engage)? If it's not right on the floor, that further suggests a hardpart failure.

I'm just guessing the diaphram went flat.. for the past month or so, the clutch pedal felt like it had vibration while driving...its squeaked a couple times.. Latley when backing up the car or putting it in reverse the car would just die WHILE the clutch was all the down... I think it was just it's time ; (
