I can't find an image of one, because I'm not sure what to search for, so here's my best explanation.

It's a long, bendable tool with a button on one end that, when you push it in, reaches a 3 or 4 prong claw out of the other end. When you release the button, it pulls the claws back into the cable, holding onto anything you try to pick up with it. Like, small tools or bolts that you have dropped, and cannot reach. Most people, when they first get ahold of one, try to immediately grab the nearest person's nipple with it.

it's really called a pickup tool. But everyone always seems to call it the claw grabby thing

I'm not sure where it came from, because everything else seemed in place. You know how it goes; ending up with extra parts in the end.
