1993 5.0, from the DRIVER'S side the power door locks work (both doors lock and unlock) but when using the PASSENGER'S side power door lock button it will lock the doors, but not unlock the doors. It is not the switch as I just put in a brand new switch thinking that was the problem. Where should I look to solve this?

Thanks

Chris

I say take the door panel off and check your wiring. See if any of the insulation has come off and the wires are corroded or frayed. If so, replace that portion of wire and the try again?

I have almost the same problem but, mine won't lock either side but the drivers side does unlock them & sometimes the passenger side will too. I also replaced the switches thinking it was the cause but it isn't.

I tested the pink lock and unlock wires on both switches, drivers and passengers side. On the drivers side each pink wire tested correct. When you push lock there was 12v to pink green and ground to pink yellow. When pushing unlock 12v to pink yellow, ground to pink green. Passengers side shows a problem. Pink green (LOCK) had 12v when pushing lock and ground when pushing unlock BUT pink yellow has 12v when pushing lock AND unlock. Pink yellow does not ground like it should? What would cause this?

Thanks

Chris

Remove the switches and spray the inside of the switch with electrical part cleaner.
