Hey guys, saw the first Pypes MMS getting quite long so I started a second part. I installed the Pypes MMS this weekend and I must say that is kicks my old MAC A/B's butt! The sound is so much more aggressive and not as high pitched anymore, granted they are still getting broken in. But when i first fired her up i was a bit dissapointed as how quiet they sounded but once I got 'er going I was very impressed, fitment was spot on as well, dont forsee any adjusting other than the odd tightening of the clamps, all in all I am very pleased with this and would give it a over the MAC system!

Yes this is an excellent system, but with and off road pipe & longtubes = best sound for the exhuast system.I get compliments everywhere I go with my car & the way it sounds.

yeah unfortunately the Pypes H-Pipe is too large to ship USPS so i have to wait til October when Brenspeed recieves the new pypes modular system that can be shipped via USPS...

I agree even though fitment and rattle tuning was a b*tch in the beginning...My MMS and O/R X give me that almost perfect sound. Longtubes are next.

well had my first hiccup with this system. Installed some Ford Racing K Springs and now the mufflers hit almost every speed bump here. while she was jacked up i tried to moved the mufflers as close to the driveshaft as possible but didnt do the trick... looks like i might need to upgrade to some 20's to remove all clearance doubt..

20s will not raise your car at all. The tire height is what raises/lowers your car be it on a 17" or 20" wheel. For instance I just went from 235/50-18 to 295/45-18 on the rear and it raised my car about .6"(the new tire is 1.1" taller).

how could they raise your car is they are 5 mm thinner? (50 to 45)

Because, the 45 is not the only measurment of a tire that makes the total Diameter. The sidewall might be shorter, but the overall diameter is increased.

They are not 5mm thinner. The 45/50 is not a number, it is a ratio. His old tires had a sidewall height equal to 50% of 235mm, his new tires have a sidewall height equal to 45% of 295mm.

235/50s=117.5mm
295/45s=132.75mm

That makes a difference of 15.25mm or .6003925 inches.

Like the factory 17s are 55 series and the 18s are 50 series and only about .1" different in height while being the same exact width. The 18s have the lower profile as they have to compensate for the extra 1" of wheel diameter to maintain near the same ride height of the 17. A 20" tire that would maintain near the same width and within .1-.2"(27.0)ride height of the OEMs would be 255/35-20. There you can see how the aspect ratio works.

oh right, im an idiot lol.. i understand now... thanks guys.... guess ill have to do a better job at tucking the mufflers closer to the body somehow.....
