Alright guys got my cell phone and tried it (poor quality). excuse the lack of video recording talent and the poor choice of radio station lol! not my jam but hey the radio felt like working!
you can see the blue dash looks way better in person but i do need one more bulb/dads 69 boss:nice:/and the classic cheese graters
anyways there it is before they come off!

wow i was expecting more replies on this considering how many people wanted a pypes clip poor quality or not?

yeah the best way to explain it is like taking a car and running just a of road mid pipe with a little less decibals:mad: i think it perfect on the loud factor but its just noise vs. tone:bs:

Now i know why you want something different..Not my cup of tea...sounds like it has no mufflers...to me anyways...

That sounds like poop. Should have gone with MAC

pypes is horrible...sounds like chit

Y'all just don't know. Video sound clips do NOT do these mufflers justice.

Maybe I got a different version of Violators, since I got mine when they first came out (before they were stainless), or maybe it's the stock headers and Jeg's off-road X that I'm running ahead of 'em, I dunno, but they never sounded like that for me.

I've had MAC before. They sounded AWFUL. Tons of obnoxious drone. They sounded like a cross between Flowmaster 40's and, I dunno, worn-out glasspacks or something. :notnice:

I agree MAC'S suck plain and simple.....I hated them on my 85 GT...I had long tubes..off road H-pipe and Mac cat back sounded like an old pick-up truck with glass packs...

Our Pypes mufflers sound like that... Only really quiet. Not high on my list of mufflers at all. I enjoyed the Macs I had, didn't mind the Flows, really like the Spintechs, my brothers Hookers sound good, the pypes right next to the superturbos I once had are on the bottom of my short list!

So, when are we going to swap titles so you can legally claim it as yours.

FWIW, I LOVE the sound of the stock headers/Jeg's off-road X/Violators catback.

I LOVE IT.

to each its own indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i do not like them, my dads hates them also, except he says when im in the car puling awaya and gas it it sounds like a beast but i aint buying it:shrug:...

from clips ive heard i want bassani but im scared of another str8 through muffler......i heard that magnaflow clip and that sounds very nice but its all in the rpms and not at idle? i wan the best of both worlds....... i think im going to gamble on some bassani's but idk?:shrug::shrug:

whats the advantage of springing for some bigger dimensions on the muffler?
the muffls i want are 95.00 and are 4x8x16 and the bigger ones are 119.00 @ 5x10x24 inches???

ps. i just want everyone to know that that rev in my video/soundclip is in cabin with windows UP to only about 3.5k if that! that car is just pure noise! not much better sounding when i dint even have my catback!!!!!!!

if you like dumptrucks buy pypes IMO, im sure other less modded cars or different midpipe could sound decent but i wouldn't risk the money to try it!

When? As soon as I have a bunch of free money to throw around ... which will be ... uhhh ... someday. I hope. Right now, though, I have a bunch of dental work, a big honkin' credit card bill, and some must-do-first repairs to finish making the Black Pearl DD-worthy before I can even think about that. (Have I ever mentioned before that I hate being dirt poor?) :nonono:

I think this is the problem, right here - that one little word. Not all of us can afford to throw aftermarket heads, cams, intakes, and/or fancy headers or big-name mid-pipes on our cars, which can make almost ANY frickin' muffler sound good (yes, even MACs). All I know is that, at least on the setup I put together, I like the result. Who knows, maybe if I were to throw the same setup behind equal-length or full-length headers and an H-pipe, it would sound like utter poop. I dunno. Opinions on mufflers are like belly buttons.

Huh.. I definitely do not have a car that sounds like a dump truck. I remember when installing, there was a front and a back. Did you possibly put them on backwards? My only real complaint with them was fitment. Their x pipe was too long. What a pain in the ass. It limited me from running some of the catbacks I wanted to. Pypes explained to me that all catted x pipes are longer than the factory() and that their catback would fit because the flow tubes could be adjusted. And by adjusted, I found they meant cutting shorter with a hacksaw.

I had the same problem with the UPR cat'ed X-pipe, which has an almost identical design with no transmission crossmember hangers. Stoopid design. Like an idiot, I trimmed my tailpipes instead of my flow tubes when I made everything fit under there. Thereafter, I've been having problems keeping the tailpipe in position because I just barely have enough straight pipe before the upward curve over the axle to poke into the back of the muffler and clamp down onto, so there's a bit of an exhaust leak behind the muffler. Dammit, I need a welder (and some practice in using it)... :fuss:

Actually, had the same problem putting Frankenstang's Flowmaster cat-back under her Capri behind a stock H-pipe ... and Blowmaster likes to weld their frickin' flow tubes to the mufflers from the factory, which means you wind up with that much less adjustment when you go to try to fit that horribly cobbled-together bastard cat-back of theirs into place. They sound pretty good behind an off-road X-pipe, but I sure as hell will never buy a Flowmaster cat-back in my lifetime. :notnice:

sounds like chit. im still undecided what i want. but now i know no pypes! i like my flows on my old 5.0. but to common.

Very true but they sound good...I like spintechs...They sound awesome...It between those 2...I want to try the new super 44's by flowmaster..there supossed to be different more aggresive sounding...
