This is aimed towords the V6 guys but is good info for everyone.
I thought I would post some info about my recent install since so many of you V6 guys were asking questions about it. Hope this helps.
What I installed is called the QA1 "Mustang Pro-Active System". It includes a tubular k-member, tubular control arms, caster/camber plates and a coil-over conversion kit. The complete package usualy sells for just over 1000 bucks. The parts are for sale individually but the tubular control arms will NOT work with factory springs.
No modifications or customization is needed for these parts to fit. If you have a 94-95 V6 you need the "79-95 5.0 k-member" and if you have a 96-94 V6 you need the "96-04 4.6 k-member".
Is if for street or strip? The kit is available with a street/strip setup or a full drag setup (straight line).
Why upgrade? My #1 reason was the weight loss, you will lose 30+ pounds. I quickly realized that there is a lot more to this setup than weight reduction. This setup frees up a lot of space making working on the car 200% easier. Remove the oil pan, change headers, swap starters... Its all now easily accessed. The fully adjustable suspension is also nice. Changing ride height and strut rebound is simple.
There was really nothing I didnt like about this kit but some of you may not like the increased road noise.

The k-member install was simple. Simply remove your brakes and suspension components. Unbolt your steering rack and slide it out of the way, you can leave the lines attached. Support the engine with a jack and unbolt the stock k-member and motor mounts. It will fall right out then you bolt up the new one using all the factory bolt holes. Once its bolted up tight, remove the jack supporting the engine and tighten up your motor mounts.
