Ok, I can get a Cartech upper intake with port matched stock lower for a really good price. The only question is, will this intake help me. I have tried to find out some information on what applications this intake is good for with no avail. I have recently rebuilt the motor in the car back to stock specs, it also has 24# injectors, fuel pressure regulator, BBK shorties and off-road H-pipe, no smog what so ever, BBK cold air intake, C&L mass air, electric fan, currently running a professional products upper and lower, and I also have a set of stock heads that have been ported along with a ford racing B cam which will go into the motor at the same time as the intake switch, given the fact that this intake will help me. Does anyone know anything about this intake and weather it will help me or hurt me in the long run? Oh yeah, I am also spraying the car with a 100 shot as well.

You will lose alot of low end torque. I've seen them on alot of high winding engines and blower cars.

it will kill your low end, and the top end will scream. I had the comp cams power box before and i did like the top end pull. You realy need higher gears and either more ci. or forced induction to take advatage of it.

So what if it fits the stock lower, it can't be all that bad if a **** load of turbo cars that I have seen are running it.

Stock lower has a bad right angle bend in the front two runners that kills flow. So it's not the best.
The upper box could very well have been developed to meet some racing regulations, or could have been designed before the aftermarket took off.
And the reason forced induction cars have better luck with them is that they are just forcing the air in.
