Quarter window overlays

Don't do it, they are junk. I had them on my car for a few months, they stick out and IMO look bad. They cost $70 + shipping from LRS. Instead, spend $20 on 240/320 grit sandpaper, filler primer (or bondo if you have large cracks), new window seal, and some black trim paint.

Then all you need is some time and elbow grease. You will be much happier with the results. I just did mine a few weeks ago, here's a thread.

+1

mine were real bad on the 89... Took some time to cover up the car, tape everything up, sand like a bastard, flexible bondo (I think for bumpers, can't remember 100%), sanding, and more sanding... build primer, primer and bumper black paint :D

Sooooooo worth it!

Man, THAT is freakin awesome! thank you so much! been wondering what to do with mine, now I know!:nice: BTW, where do you get window sealer?

I actually spent $30 for some used windows off CL which I plan on restoring and then swapping with my current windows.

I figure that way I can take my tone and just do the swap when ready.

Then I can restore my original windows

I'm working on some quarter window trim now. A friend gave me a set and I've been working on them at work on my lunch break. So far I've prepped them and am going to start spraying primer tomorrow. It's going to take a lot of sanding, but I'll post some pics when I'm finished.
